Barcelona World Race 2010/2011

The Barcelona World Race is the first only double-handed (two-crew) regatta around the world. This is the second edition of the regatta, the first was in 2007/08 and the next one will take place in 2014. The race will start the 31st December 2010 at 13:00h from Barcelona to Barcelona via three capes: Good hope, Leeuwin and Horn, Cook Strait, putting Antarctica to starboard. 25.000 nautical miles across the oceans, 3 months non-stop sailing and more than 10 boats competing for a dream. If you want to be part of this special event you can follow the teams at the departure of the race on board a Catamaran. The beginning is usually the most important part as it determines the race strategy. The competitors must work the hardest for the first 100 metres in an effort to get clear of all the boats around them. Luxury Trips Spain gives you the chance to sail close to the competitors in one of the most privileged sailing regatta of the world on board a catamaran. Please, contact us for more information.
